Detail from a sketch that I started yesterday. I’m still playing with it. This version is pencil combined with digital filters.
Life without art, life without love …is nothing. Another collaborative sketch between me and Scottish artist Sean Fleming, done while I was traveling. This one I’m now adding color to and will post another pic when it’s done. I love the push and pull of working together on a piece. Looking forward to doing more.
Another post. This is what is called “procrastination”…. 😉 Guess I should get packing for my house and studio move………
Hope to be back soon. xx

I am in the middle of switching houses, preparing a house to sell, and moving into my first personal studio space. My head is spinning… It appears the walls are closing in on me.

Here’s a drawing that I did last week. Just a wee sketch in pencil on paper, to which I added a bit of a digital vignette… It’s a portrait of my friend and fellow artist, Sean Fleming. Sean is a contemporary fine artist in Dundee, Scotland. His work is mainly figurative, expressed both as paintings and drawings. Check out his art page on Facebook or his website.
Here’s a little peek at his work – (images are cropped):
A portrait of my daughter, who was so upset that we had to wash her face before bed…
By the way, The Brig Studio Artists, who I am a part of, have a show going on now in the North Seattle Community College Library. If you happen to be on campus, come check us out! My pieces will be there until the end of February. I’m scheduled to take over both rooms of the Wedgwood Ale House for the month of March. I’m going to display as much as possible – I can’t wait!

I’ve been studying old paintings and photographs, and playing around with the images in my sketchbook. Here’s one I did last night…
Lend me your eyes, I can change what you see
But your soul you must keep, totally free.
