In January and February I was busy with this project for The Northerlies, in addition to my regular painting and drawing. It was released in mid-March, and I’m finally blogging about it! :-P
I was so honored to work on this album. I love the band, and it was my first time creating a CD cover. If you have some time, be sure to check them out! http://www.thenortherlies.com/
I’m excited that Game of Thrones is back! Are you?
I sketched this with a crappy old marker and a drawing pen. I didn’t draw it in pencil first, which is why I ended up looking like an old lady with a giant nose… ah well, an excuse to draw this again… :-)
I’ve taken over the Wedgwood Ale House in Seattle! Stop by and have a peek. I’ve got big, wild works in the bar, and smaller, happy, colorful pieces in the family dining room. All work is for sale, minus one, which already sold…. So come in, have a beer, and buy a painting! I’ll look that ^^^ happy!
The show will be up, I believe, until the 6th of April, 2013
Hello friends! I was interviewed at the beginning of February by 25 of the Best. I’m just telling you now, because I’ve been battling illness for weeks… Finally on the mend, I think!
Hope you’ll check out my interview. And browse around – there are some fascinating characters featured there.
Hope to be around a lot more this month.
–Heather xx
P.S. I’d like to send a big thank you to QuantumPhysica for having me on her blogroll. Thank you, QP! My interview came about from your sharing of my blog. I really appreciate it. –Check out her blog y’all!
This is the story of your red right ankle
And how it came to meet your leg
And how the muscle, bone, and sinews tangled
And how the skin was softly shed
And how it whispered,
“Oh, adhere to me
For we are bound by symmetry
And whatever differences our lives have been
We together make a limb”
This is the story of your red right ankle

I’ve been sick for the entire month of February, so other than finishing up a commission and doing an interview, I’ve done nothing but doodling in my sketchbook. The commission that I was working on was an album cover, so I’ve had the process of pairing songs and images running through my head…
Next week I’ll share with you my interview, a solo show I’m doing for the month of March, and, hopefully, the finished CD for The Northerlies.
